So, I really don't up date this blog much ... and I really don't have much to say now ... but I think there might be more coming ... SOON !!!

So new cat needed again ...

Looks like the motor pop ... shot a cat. The nice people at Mazda have decided to pickup the cost of the cat... I really do like Mazda, it's nice to have a company really back the products they sell.

Thank you Mazda for standing behind the Rx-8 even if you are killing it off, wish you hydrogen power was a few years further down the road then maybe the nails wouldn't be in this rotory coffin.

Well AUL as an extended warranty company sucks!!!

I couldn't find record of one oil change and that was enough for them to say no we aren't going to pay for it, much to my relief and joy Mazda decided they would cover it ... Full Story ... Their website says that from 2004 on they extended the warranty on the rotory engine to 100k but the computers don't show the extension after 2009 model year, so I asked and they asked up the chain ... and what was supposed to take two weeks to get an answer took only 2-3 hours, So now it's back home with a newly rebuilt motor and new motor mounts (they had collapsed).

It runs and starts great and it feels like a brand new car. Still love this car, may have to keep her and give her a real rotory motor!!!

94k miles and the motor popped

The Rx-8 popped the motor on the way home Thursday from work, oil everywhere. Now, it's waiting on the warranty adjuster to look it over and say they will cover it. Post after I get her back.
